Citizenship
If you are interested in applying for Canadian citizenship, we can help you determine if you are eligible. We will help assess if you qualify for citizenship, assist you with your application, or represent you for your appeal if you think your application has been erroneously rejected.
Appeals and Judicial Review
We have extensive experience representing clients throughout the appeal or judicial review process when they find their applications refused or application process complicated by various circumstances. If you feel that your permanent residence, visa, sponsorship, or citizenship application has been wrongfully refused, we will help you prepare the necessary next steps and make sure you are confident going into every proceeding.
You may find yourself subject to deportation or a removal order if you are found to have violated the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act of Canada. If you are in the position of being wrongfully deported, we will represent you in the process and help you to lift the order so that you can remain in Canada.
Humanitarian and Compassionate
If you are inadmissible or have lost your status, you may have a chance to gain permanent residence through an H&C application or remain in Canada on a Temporary Resident Permit (TRP). We can help you determine if these options are feasible for you and prepare such applications.
Refugees and Protected Persons
For individuals who find that their lives are in danger or that they face any cruel, unjust treatment or punishment in their home country, they may be eligible to apply to stay in Canada as a refugee or protected person. This can be an extremely tumultuous and significant process, and you may benefit from our advice in filing your application. If your application has been denied, we are very experienced in this matter and can help you appeal the decision.
Employer Services and Labor Market Impact Assessments (LMIA)
If you are hiring a foreign worker or you are a foreign worker hoping to be hired in Canada, we can assist you with the process. We will advise you if you need to apply for a Labor Market Impact Assessment (LMIA) from Employment and Social Development Canada (ESDC) and assist you throughout the procedure.
We can also help if you believe your employer has violated the Canadian Labor Standard and threatens to deport you, or if you want to appeal a rejected application.
Adoption
If you are planning to adopt a foreign child, there are two processes that need to be undertaken. You must go through the child’s adoption process AND the child’s immigration process. We can assist you with both, and help if you must appeal a rejection.
