About Us

Haidah is a highly recognized Canadian lawyer and an expert in all issues immigration-related. She has worked consistently as a lawyer since 2005 and founded her own practice shortly thereafter. Since then, she has successfully represented clients in Federal Court, Saskatchewan Court of Appeal, the Saskatchewan Court of Queen’s Bench, the Saskatchewan Provincial Court, the Immigration and Refugee Board of Canada, and the Immigration Appeal Division. Haidah has been teaching Immigration and Refugee Law at the University of Saskatchewan, College of Law, since 2007. She is fluent in English, Farsi, Turkish and Azari.

Apart from her role as an immigration lawyer, Haidah considers herself first and foremost as an advocate. Haidah does not shy away from difficult cases and has a history of successful challenges to medical and criminal inadmissibility findings, complicated international adoptions, and deportations. Her practice has helped reunite families in Canada, often after many refused appeals and years of separation. In 2018, Haidah spoke with then Minister of Immigration Ahmed Hussen regarding the government ban on adoptions from Pakistan and restrictions on adoptions from many Muslim-majority countries – a point of contention she routinely encounters in her practice. She was invited to draft a report detailing the controversial ban and its discriminatory effects, which was completed and submitted that June.
